DESCRIPTION

Makalu Base Camp trek is a unique trek for nature loving trekkers. In this trek, we can experience a variety of landscapes, culture as well as exceptional views of some of world tallest mountains- Mt. Everest (8848 m) , Mt. Makalu (8481m), Mt. Kanchanjunga (8586m) , Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Baruntse (7129m), Mt. Chamlang (7319m). It offers an exceptional opportunity to explore high-altitude terrains, snow clad landscapes and ethnic Himalayan lifestyle. At the higher altitude of this trek, there are breathtaking Panoramas of Himalayas; high altitude lakes base camp. Makalu Base Camp is located at 5100m. In this region lies Makalu Barun National Park, home to 3000 species of flowering plants, 440 species of birds and 75 species of mammals including Snow Leopard, Red Panda, Musk Dear, Wild Boar, Wild yak and Himalayan Tahr.

Day 06: Trek to Khongma (6 hours)

Day 07: Acclimatization day trip to Khongma

Day 08: Trek to Yangla Kharka (5/6 hours) 

Day09: Trek to Yangla Kharka (6/7 hours)

Day 10: Trek to Langmale Kharka (5/6 hours) 

Day 11: Trek to Makalu Base Camp (6/7 hours) 

Day 12: Explore Makalu Base Camp (4 hours)
